The anticipated annual salary ranges, depending on location, are:
Chicago, IL: $275,000-$350,000
Los Angeles, CA: $275,000-$350,000
San Francisco, CA: $275,000-$350,000
Washington, DC: $275,000-$350,000
New York City, NY: $275,000-$350,000
Additional benefits and contingent compensation may be available based on performance, location, experience, education, and qualifications. Salary ranges are Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimates at the time of posting.
Job Requirements:
Our Intellectual Property Practice Group seeks a patent litigation associate to join in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, or Washington, DC. Responsibilities include preparing cases for trial from initiation to appeal.
Candidates should have 4-8 years of patent litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, claim charts, participating in Markman and claim construction proceedings, managing discovery, inter partes reviews, and overall litigation strategy. Patent trial experience, USPTO admission, and a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience, are highly desirable.
Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, negotiating with opposing counsel, depositions, trial preparation, and supervising junior associates.
Candidates must have strong academic credentials, judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to client service.
