Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of general commercial litigation experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation in New York state and federal courts
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Take and defend fact and expert depositions
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
- Collaborate with clients and attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of commercial litigation experience
- Experience practicing in New York state and federal courts
- Strong motion practice, discovery, and deposition experience
- Experience with real estate and finance litigation is preferred
- Trial experience is a plus
- Large law firm experience strongly preferred
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York Bar admission
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $250,000 – $280,000 annually, depending on experience
