A law firm seeks a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA location.
Job Overview:
The Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in handling intellectual property matters, particularly patent and/or trade secret litigation, and providing comprehensive counsel to clients.
Duties:
Advocate for clients in intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent and/or trade secret disputes.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advisory.
Draft and prepare various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and client communications.
Engage actively in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to devise effective case strategies and manage client relationships.
Offer legal guidance and assistance to clients on a diverse range of intellectual property issues.
Requirements:
Must be admitted to a State Bar.
Possess strong academic background in law and undergraduate studies.
Preferred undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
3-5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, specifically in patent and/or trade secret litigation.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, leadership skills, and willingness to assume increased responsibilities.
Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of legal and business principles relevant to intellectual property cases.
Education/Certifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to a State Bar.
Skills:
Proven track record in intellectual property litigation.
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
Strong analytical prowess.
Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
