About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented paralegal to join our growing law firm. As a litigation paralegal, you will play a crucial role in spearheading case management, document preparation, client communications, trial preparation, and administrative support. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure will be essential to the success of our team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary case manager for assigned litigation matters from intake through trial.
- Maintain and organize all case documents, deadlines, filings, and correspondence within the firm’s case management system.
- Coordinate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors throughout the life of the case.
- Manage calendaring and docketing for litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and trial preparation.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of discovery, including drafting, organizing, reviewing, and producing documents and discovery responses.
- Support deposition preparation, including scheduling, exhibit organization, transcript management, and witness preparation materials.
- Assist with drafting and filing pleadings, subpoenas, notices, and other documents.
- Collect and organize medical records, damages documentation, and case-related evidence.
- Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and other materials to support litigation and trial strategy.
- Support trial preparation and logistics, including exhibit management and coordination with witnesses and experts.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and help guide them through the litigation process.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of paralegal experience preferred
- Experience with medical malpractice litigation or personal injury law.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and client service.
- Detail-oriented with strong judgment, follow-through, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment and adaptable to new systems, processes, and responsibilities as the firm continues to grow.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and keep cases moving forward.
- Positive, low-ego team player who contributes to a collaborative and drama-free office culture.
- Experience drafting legal documents, managing litigation deadlines, and supporting discovery and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with court procedures, e-filing, and case management systems.
