Position: MEDIATION COUNSELOR II
Responsible for conducting court-ordered investigations relating to child custody cases, domestic home studies, adoptions, and other family court matters which may include on-site interviews with associated parties.
Assisting with calendar management and calling the calendars, producing written records containing findings and recommendations. Must be comfortable communicating with attorneys, DCYF, counselors, and other agencies.
Perform related work as required and any all duties as may be assigned by the Family Court Chief Judge or Chief of Staff. Must be available to work in any of the four county locations.
Such as may have been gained through possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology or any other appropriate discipline such as law enforcement; or that which may have been gained through employment in a responsible position working with juveniles and parents conducting investigations.
Applicant must have knowledge of court proceedings and report writing. Must be able to work within established timelines. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; or any combination of education or experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
