Swanson Martin & Bell, LLP is looking for a skilled Senior Accounts Payable Clerk, responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Responsibilities include:
Processing and paying between 1200-1600 invoices per month
Reconcile and code monthly credit card statements
Print A/P checks weekly
Respond to queries from vendors and staff accordingly
Obtain payment approval and coding from attorneys
Prepare and file 1099s
Track unclaimed property and follow up with payee as needed
Any other project(s) as assigned by the Controller
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
Anticipates work needs and follows through with minimum direction, and takes responsibility to follow up on own initiative
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
Works effectively within a team environment, as well as independently
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in financial data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and partners.
Prioritizes the organization of workflow and uses time efficiently
