Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary procurement and contracts lead on multiple projects across sectors, acting in a client-facing capacity as an Owner’s Representative.
Develop and implement procurement strategies based on project-specific requirements, risk profiles, and preferred delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, Design-Build, etc.).
Draft, review, and negotiate design, consulting, and construction contracts (primarily using AIA and other industry forms), ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Advise clients on project delivery methods, procurement options, and contracting best practices throughout the planning and preconstruction phases.
Provide risk management insight by identifying, mitigating, and advising on contractual risks and exposures.
Manage the full lifecycle of contract administration, including procurement planning, solicitation development (RFQs, RFPs, IFBs), and change management.
Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, project managers, and legal counsel to align contract terms with operational and strategic goals.
Lead onboarding and contract setup processes across a diverse client base, maintaining consistent communication and compliance.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by supporting playbook development, templates, and mentorship of junior team members.
Support business development efforts through proposal writing, scope definition, and client presentations as needed.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Expertise in procurement strategy, contract drafting, negotiation, and administration in the AEC industry.
Strong working knowledge of construction delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build.
Detailed understanding of AIA and other contract forms, including negotiation and amendment practices.
Client-focused with ability to operate independently and lead procurement efforts in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with executive presence.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with design, construction, and legal professionals.
Proficiency in contract management tools, document control systems, and client/vendor portals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience advising on contractual risk, performance obligations, and regulatory compliance.
Well-developed organizational and time management skills; able to manage priorities across multiple projects.
Mentorship experience and ability to contribute to internal process improvement and training.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration role in a corporate environment. Working knowledge in accounting, business finance, law, contracts, organization and management.
Preferred Certification: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) and/or Certified Contracts Professional Manager (CCPM) preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $102,300.00-$136,433.35 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
