Maitland Property Insurance Defense law firm is seeking an entry-level assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant disposition, be punctual, self-motivated, a multi-tasker, highly organized, professional, and a quick learner who requires minimal supervision and has a desire to build a career in the legal field. Duties will include breaking down claim file materials, drafting notices and correspondence, e-filing pleadings, transcribing dictation, preparing event folders for assigned attorney, preparing phone memos, scheduling, tasking, and assisting case manager.
Health Insurance benefits are included upon completion of 60 days of employment. Two-weeks PTO is accrued upon completion of 90 day probationary period. There is also performance based advancement opportunities available and a 401K + Matching plan.
Skills:
Strong computer, writing, proofreading and phone etiquette skills
Ability to perform duties with extreme accuracy and superior attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize assignments in a busy environment
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment while maintaining a pleasant and professional disposition
Ability to maintain confidentiality for all client and firm related matters

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40.00 per week
