We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in family law and/or Trusts/Estates. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with various administrative and legal tasks, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities

Perform data entry tasks related to case management and client records.
Maintain organized files and documentation for easy retrieval.
Manage phone communications with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel while demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
Provide clerical support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and filing documents.
Assist in the preparation of court filings and ensure timely submission.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Knowledge and experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office
Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with clients and professionals.
Prior experience in a clerical or administrative role within a law firm is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
