Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of bank-wide policies, procedures, SOPs, governance frameworks, and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate with business, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and technology teams to facilitate the effective implementation and communication of new or revised policies across the organization.
- Assess the operational, regulatory, and control implications of policy changes and ensure appropriate governance, approvals, and implementation plans are established.
- Monitor regulatory developments, including SBP regulations, Prudential Regulations, and other applicable requirements, and recommend policy enhancements to maintain ongoing compliance.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify inconsistencies between existing practices and approved policies and drive remediation initiatives to strengthen governance and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain policy management frameworks, including policy inventories, review schedules, version controls, and approval records.
- Facilitate policy awareness, training, and change management initiatives to ensure effective understanding, adoption, and adherence across business units.
- Monitor compliance with approved policies and procedures, identify areas of non-compliance, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare policy-related management reports, presentations, and committee papers, highlighting implementation status, key risks, regulatory changes, and outstanding actions.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews by providing policy documentation, implementation evidence, and remediation plans where required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve policy governance processes and ensure policies remain practical, effective, and aligned with business requirements.
- Ensure all policy documents are periodically reviewed, updated, and approved in accordance with the Bank’s governance framework and regulatory expectations.
- Perform any additional tasks or projects assigned by senior management.
Qualification & Skills:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably master’s from a well-recognized University.
- Minimum 6-8 years relevant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking operations, SBP Prudential Regulations, regulatory compliance requirements, governance frameworks, policy management, internal controls, and operational risk management, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into effective policies and procedures.
- Expertise in drafting, reviewing, interpreting, and implementing policies, procedures, SOPs, and operational guidelines across the organization.
- Ability to assess operational processes, identify control gaps, and ensure policies are effectively embedded within the Bank’s risk and control framework.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams to drive policy implementation and organizational change initiatives.
- Strong analytical, report writing, documentation, presentation, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to effectively utilize AI-powered tools for research, analysis, process improvement, and productivity enhancement.
