Job Summary

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Team Leader to join our Business Operation teams overseeing Litigation charter and play a pivotal role in managing complex legal matters and ensuring operational excellence.

As the Team Leader – Insurance Operations & Litigation, you will be responsible for managing Health Claims Ombudsman cases & other litigation matters. You will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and optimize day-to-day operations. Additionally, you will contribute to insurance operations, including policy management, customer service, and administrative support.

What would you do at Navi?

Case & Litigation Management:  Manage insurance disputes referred to the Ombudsman & any legal forum, ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines. Represent the company in hearings, preparing legal documents (SCNs, responses, etc.) and presenting arguments.

Legal & Strategic Guidance:  Provide legal advice on Ombudsman-related matters and collaborate with internal teams (Claims, Legal, Compliance) for accurate case handling.

Compliance & Reporting:  Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards, staying informed about industry regulations. Generate reports on policy issuance, cancellations, and renewals, providing insights into operational performance and KPIs.

Data Management:  Maintain comprehensive & accurate records of policyholders, claims, litigation particulars and underwriting data for informed decision-making

Process Improvement

:  Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline case handling, documentation, and

communication

and win rates.

Team Management &

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams such as Claims, Legal, and Compliance to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues efficiently. Provide support and guidance to team members, ensuring that the team is operating effectively and meeting performance goals.

What skills do you need for this role?

Education:

Graduate in any discipline (Law degree preferred)

Proven experience in operations, insurance litigation, Ombudsman cases, or similar legal roles.

Familiarity with regulatory bodies like the Insurance Ombudsman is desirable.

Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data collation and analysis.
