Key purpose of role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager to lead and expand our legal recruitment practice in the U.S (East coast). This role will focus on managing and mentoring a high-performing recruitment team while driving revenue growth and strengthening relationships with top-tier legal practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in legal recruitment, a proven track record of billing success, and strong people management skills.
Key job responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal recruiters to drive performance and achieve revenue targets.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies focused on placing top legal talent in AmLaw 100 and international law firms.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of hiring needs and market trends.
Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and expanding Hydrogen Group’s market presence.
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring high-quality service delivery and candidate experience.
Utilize market insights and competitor analysis to stay ahead in the legal recruitment industry.
Monitor key performance metrics, provide coaching, and implement strategies for continuous team improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize recruitment strategies and align with overall business objectives.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in recruitment.
Key working relationships:
Internal: Marketing team, Sales team, Leadership team.
External: Clients, law firms, and candidates
Person specification:
5+ years of experience in legal recruitment, preferably within the US or London Private Practice markets
Proven track record of billing success and revenue generation within legal recruitment.
Strong people management and leadership skills, with experience in coaching and team development.
Deep understanding of the legal sector, including key law firms, market trends, and hiring needs.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and client management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
Expertise in CRM systems, recruitment tools, and data-driven decision-making.
Experience working with AmLaw 100 law firms and other top-tier legal organizations.
