Drafts and reviews legislation and other legal documents and instruments.
Coordinates gathering information from various departments in preparing contracts and other legal documents or as may be necessary for litigation and pre-litigation purposes.
Reviews contracts and other legal documents to ensure necessary provisions are included.
Collects. compiles, and utilizes technical information to make recommendations on legal issues; compiles, organizes, and analyzes various data for use in reports or other documents.
Assists in the preparation of form complaints, declarations, and other basic pleadings.
Litigation of cases for and against the Company.
Gathers and coordinates the compilation of information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence necessary to respond to legislation and agenda preparation.
Coordinates and monitors overall office activities and workflow, ensuring timely completion of clerical and administrative support work; acts as liaison with departments and/or other agencies, as may be necessary.
Performs specialized legal administrative duties, including preparing and managing legal documents; prepares various other materials, including correspondence and reports.
Establishes and maintains confidential files and recordkeeping systems; maintains calendars; processes documents; maintains and updates legal library and other manuals and resource materials; and performs other general clerical services.
Provides information, routes inquiries, resolves complaints, interprets and explains policies and procedures, and ensures the appropriate distribution and release of confidential or sensitive information.
May assist in departmental budget preparation and budget administration.
Perform related duties as assigned. Performs all assigned duties efficiently and technically correctly, follows Company policies, rules and regulations, and requests of Superiors. Adheres to procedures and achieves a high standard, leading to total guest and Company satisfaction.
Attends departmental meetings and training when requested.
Performs other duties that immediate superiors may assign from time to time.
Recommend and/or execute management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign or Conduct research and/or submit reports on legal questions affecting the Company;
Perform other remedial legal services, i.e., preparation of demand letters, meeting with clients and/or third parties for possible settlement of claims or cases; discipline subordinates, including participation in administrative hearings and the disciplinary process.
contract drafting and review, pre-litigation and litigation matters, managing of liability risks, provides legal advise and assists in labor matters endorsed by HR, among others
Requirements
Bachelor of Laws/ Juris Doctor
Admitted as a member of the Philippine Bar and who is in good and regular standing.
Strong leadership and managerial skills
Excellent relationship management and communication skills are necessary for interaction with the stakeholders and negotiating parties
Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with laws dealing with government or commercial contract administration, particularly contract negotiation, preparation, and administration
Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) to senior-level management on highly technical matters
Demonstrate success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation and labor matters
Good planning and organization skills
Proven ability to delicately solve sensitive matters
Awareness and compliance with company policies and procedures
At least five years of experience in the practice of law
Experience as in-house counsel or an as an associate in a law firm
