Our client is looking for a talented paralegal for its reputable law firm in Valley Stream, Long Island, NY, specializing in personal injury law (specifically car accidents). This position is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates.
Responsibilities:
Sort and organize emails, file, scan, and maintain office files
Conduct client intake, follow up with clients, and manage calendars
Assist with administrative tasks and ensure smooth office operations
Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, and deposition notices
Help with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and conducting legal research
Order, review, and summarize medical records for case preparation
Support settlement conferences, mediation, and negotiations with providers or insurance companies
Organize case filing systems for easy access and retrieval
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the legal field
Experience in personal injury law (specifically car accidents) or a similar practice area is preferred for more experienced candidates
