Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate with 6-8 years of experience to work on high-profile transactions in the technology and life sciences industries. This role involves handling both public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will lead M&A teams, supervise junior associates, and manage the entire transaction process, including drafting agreements and negotiating with counter parties.

Duties:
Lead M&A transactions, including public and private company deals
Draft and negotiate definitive transaction agreements
Oversee and supervise junior M&A associates
Coordinate with subject matter experts in relevant areas
Manage client relationships throughout the transaction process
Lead negotiations with transaction counter parties
Ensure successful execution of all aspects of M&A deals
Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic transactions
Experience serving as a lead associate on M&A transactions
Strong track record in drafting and negotiating transaction agreements
Proven ability to manage teams and oversee junior associates
Expertise in client management and leading negotiations
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in the Bar of the state where the candidate will be based (New York, California, or Washington) or eligibility for admission
Skills:

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
High-level negotiation, drafting, and leadership skills
