Description: Firm is a criminal defense and civil litigation firm seeking a Sales/Intake Attorney to help the firm onboard clients. We’re not your run-of-the-mill practice, and our ambitions aren’t small. Our phones have been ringing off the hooks due to our new approach, and our goal is to be one of the largest firms in Southern California. And now we’re taking best practices of the world’s leading tech companies and applying them to the legal industry to create a criminal defense/civil litigation firm unlike any other. If you are a licensed attorney that enjoys being on the phone with potential clients, this job may be for you.

About This Role
As a Sales/Intake Attorney, you are the tip of the spear for the firm. You are the first interaction people have, and you represent the firm’s brand to all potential new clients.Your job is to talk with potential clients, understand their case, and sell them on the value our firm could bring to their case. Most of the people you will be talking to are going through one of the worst experiences of their lives; it’s your job to listen, empathize with them, and put them at ease. This role provides an opportunity to have a truly positive impact on thousands of peoples lives.Job responsibilities:

New Client Acquisition: Each day, you will be responsible for a schedule of calls with potential new clients. These clients have not been pre-qualified for you, so your first task is to determine if their legal issue falls within one of our practice areas. If so, you will proceed with the consultation. Your job is to understand their circumstances, demonstrate the value of our firm, answer all of their questions and ultimately sign up clients so that we can provide them with the best representation possible.
Develop Deep Expertise: A big part of signing up new clients is education. You will develop a deep knowledge of not only criminal law and certain areas of civil litigation,, but also how we approach various types of cases. You should be able to answer any question with confidence and display expertise in the law.
Put PNCs at Ease: Being charged with a crime or being sued are some of the most stressful things someone can go through. As you talk to them, you will put them at ease, give them hope, and, most importantly, the confidence that they are hiring the absolute best legal team possible.
Representing the Firm’s Premium Brand: Our Firm is a premium firm built around the message of “Zealous Advocacy”. As a client’s first touch point, you are one of the firm’s primary spokespeople. It’s of utmost importance that every person you talk to leaves the call thinking “wow, Michael & Associates really cares”.

What makes this job so great?
1) Early Role at a Growing Firm: We have plans to become one of the largest firms in Southern California, and you’ll be getting in on the ground floor with our new marketing model. You’ll have the chance to build something from scratch, as opposed to just maintaining the status quo.

2) Personal Growth: For the most part there really isn’t that much room for growth in the criminal defense field; the max responsibility you can ever hope for is to be a senior lawyer at a tiny firm.Yet every other type of law – corporate, civil litigation, personal injury – has massive firms with endless opportunities for advancement. Why not criminal defense?
We’re creating a firm where attorneys can grow, be challenged, enjoy their work and their coworkers. And speaking of how we do things differently…

3) A Forward-Thinking Firm: Let’s be honest, the legal profession isn’t exactly what you think of when you hear “cutting edge”. We’re going to change that.We embrace technology and continuous improvement. We believe leveraging technology makes us more efficient and leads to better client service.

4) We Play as a Team: When a client hires us, they get the full force of the entire firm. There are no lone wolves here. We believe teamwork not only leads to a better work environment, but better outcomes for our clients.

5) A Chance to Make a Difference: Every day we are helping improve our clients’ lives in a big way. Just check out our Google reviews to see the stories. We are Zealous Advocates for our clients, always going the extra mile to get them the best possible outcome. We don’t just settle for “good enough.”And it doesn’t stop with defending clients; we promise to provide high-touch, white glove service from start to finish, all while making this a stress-free experience for the client. To sum it up, if you’re an extroverted, outgoing lawyer who loves engaging with clients, and who is looking to help redefine the criminal defense field, we’d love to talk.PS: Not the job you’re looking for?
