Jury Law, LLC is seeking an experienced full-time legal assistant/paralegal in workers’ compensation and/or personal injury law. Our legal assistants manage a fast-paced workload. The candidate must be a dependable self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of a team and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Prior legal experience in workers’ compensation or personal injury cases preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
The candidate must enjoy working with people. The successful applicant will have professional, compassionate, and excellent communication skills and must be capable of handling clients who sometimes may be anxious.
We are looking for someone with excellent administrative support skills, a proactive attitude, and a good sense of humor. The ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and to follow up on tasks to make sure they are completed timely is essential. The candidate must possess strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
· Screen, direct, and prioritize all incoming calls to lawyers and office staff
· Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is up to date
· Communicate with clients regarding case updates, scheduling appointments, and gathering necessary information
· Communicate with medical offices to gather necessary medical records as well as organize and index medical records upon receipt
· Assist with maintaining lawyer calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling documentation
The firm offers a competitive salary based upon experience, paid time off, health insurance, 401(k) plan with match, and an excellent and friendly work environment. Schedule is Monday to Friday (In Person), 40 hours per week.
