Locum Lead Lawyer – Commercial/Corporate – Hybrid – Midlands Based Local Authority
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are seeking an experienced Locum Lead Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Authority on a locum basis.
The Role:
Position: Locum Lead Lawyer – Commercial/Corporate
Rate: £65 – £75 per hour Umbrella
Duration: Initial 3-month basis, with the potential for extension
Location: Hybrid, 1-2 office days per week
Hours: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
Providing strategic legal guidance on Commercial matters
Negotiating and drafting high-level commercial agreements
Collaborating with senior stakeholders across the council and external partners
Managing colleagues and junior staff members
About you:
Managerial experience
Ability to attend the office 1-2 days per week
A highly experienced Principal Commercial Lawyer
Experience in local government or public sector work is highly desirable
