Position: Litigation Trial Attorney (New Jersey)
Job Description
This position provides effective legal representation and handles moderately complex litigation involving either the corporation and/or its insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility.

Compensation may vary based on the job level and geographic location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities
Handle litigation involving the corporation and/or its insured within established guidelines and professional standards.
Manage complex files with higher dollar exposure, requiring less oversight, and communicate progress to clients.
Analyze ongoing cases, assess risks, and seek settlements as appropriate.
Draft pleadings, papers, and briefs; conduct research to support litigation activities.
Advocate client positions in various forums, including courts and administrative hearings.
Negotiate effectively to resolve issues.
Stay current on relevant statutes and court decisions, analyzing their impact on policy interpretation and enforce ability.
Potentially develop specialized areas of practice.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Experience providing customer-driven solutions and support.
Proficiency in preparing civil pleadings, motions, discovery, and depositions.
Litigation experience.
Understanding of Professional Responsibility rules in practice jurisdiction.
Knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law.
Bar admission in the practicing state or within one year of hire; reciprocity in PA within a year preferred.
Juris Doctor degree.
Additional Skills
Previous in-house trial experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
Travel up to 50%.
Primarily sitting/standing work.

Signing a non-disclosure agreement is necessary.
Sponsorship is not available; NJ bar license required, with reciprocity in PA within a year.
