Dubin Research & Consulting (DRC) is the nation’s leading trial consulting firm headquartered in New York City. DRC is seeking an attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate should have complex civil litigation experience. Although no particular legal field is preferred, our current roster of cases includes contract disputes, antitrust, SEC investigations (criminal), intellectual property, defamation, and civil fraud.
Key Responsibilities
The position will report directly to one of DRC’s Directors of Litigation Strategy, who will provide assignments, guidance, and feedback. Among other responsibilities, the attorney will assist with the following:
Development of focus group presentations and post-focus group analyses:
Attorneys are responsible for conducting case intake, drafting presentation materials for focus groups, reviewing and analyzing the results of the focus group alongside the research and psychology team, and developing trial strategy recommendations.
Conceptualization of demonstrative aids:
Attorneys are responsible for helping develop and create ideas for demonstrative concepts to be used in focus group presentations and at trial.
Legal analysis and writing:
Attorneys are responsible for conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, and developing strategies to best present evidence and testimony during trial. Attorneys will also help draft opening statements, closing statements, direct and cross-examination outlines to help prepare witnesses for depositions and trial, and review trial transcripts.
Qualifications
J.D. degree, required.
Previous background in the commercial litigation department of a big law firm is highly preferred.
Capability to translate complex concepts into understandable terms, both verbally and visually.
Proficient in developing effective case themes and arguments that resonate with jurors.
Ability to be on-site in our New York City office up to 5 days a week.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
