Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will provide essential executive administrative support, assisting attorney and office manager in various aspects of legal work, particularly in the personal injury field. This role requires strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to attorney, including managing schedules and coordinating meetings.
New case information and file set up.
Prepare letters, conduct legal research, set up insurance claims and coordinate medical appointments.
Proofread legal documents, letters, medical reports and all case related documentation.
Manage project timelines and assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases.
Able to use Casepeer, Excel, and related legal applications to maintain the organization of files, records and communication.
Communicate effectively with clients, doctors, insurance companies, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Experience
Previous experience in a personal injury law office or similar environment is preferred.
Familiarity with personal injury law.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow directions.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Proficient in project management principles and practices.
