Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Compliance & Audit with 20+ years of experience to oversee our global compliance programs, audit functions, and risk management strategies. This executive-level role requires deep expertise in regulatory frameworks, internal controls, and advanced auditing methodologies, including Red Team exercises (security penetration testing) where applicable. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure enterprise-wide compliance, and drive continuous improvement in governance processes.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the organization’s compliance and audit roadmap, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead cross-functional teams to embed compliance into operational workflows.
Advise the C-suite and Board on emerging risks, audit findings, and mitigation strategies.
Compliance Oversight:
Ensure adherence to global regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, FCPA, ISO standards).
Monitor legislative changes and update policies, training, and controls proactively.
Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
Advanced Auditing & Risk Management:
Direct complex audits (financial, operational, IT, cybersecurity), including Red Team engagements to stress-test security postures.
Implement data-driven risk assessments and predictive analytics to identify systemic vulnerabilities.
Oversee corrective action plans and track remediation to closure.
Team Development & Governance:
Mentor compliance and audit teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Optimize audit methodologies, leveraging automation (e.g., AI, continuous monitoring tools).
Chair the Compliance Steering Committee and present findings to the Board.
Qualifications:
20+ years of progressive experience in compliance, internal audit, or risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Expertise in Red Team exercises, cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and/or enterprise risk management (ERM).
Certifications: CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or JD/LLM in Regulatory Law (strongly preferred).
Proven track record of managing large-scale audits in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, energy, etc.).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
