Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in a fast-paced personal injury practice. This role will focus on managing litigation files from filing through trial, ensuring deadlines are met, and assisting with all phases of the litigation process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple cases while working closely with attorneys, clients, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in active litigation
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Coordinate and track deadlines, court filings, and case activity
- Prepare and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial dates
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
- Review, summarize, and organize medical records, bills, and case documentation
- Assist attorneys with case strategy, trial preparation, and exhibit organization
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files
- Maintain accurate and organized case files in the firm’s case management system
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements
- Experience drafting legal documents and managing discovery processes
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software (Filevine, Clio, or similar preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting personal injury litigation (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Trial preparation experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
