We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Medical Malpractice group. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys to organize and analyze medical records, prepare detailed chronologies and summaries, evaluate medical bills, and help bring clarity to complex medical histories.

You will be a trusted member of a collaborative litigation team handling sophisticated matters at one of Hawaiʻi’s most established law firms.
This is a full-time, hourly, on-site position based at our downtown Honolulu office, with a regular Monday-through-Friday business schedule. The position is eligible for overtime pay.
What You’ll Do
- Obtain medical records, billing records, and other case-related documents.
- Review and organize large volumes of medical information.
- Prepare detailed medical chronologies and summaries.
- Analyze medical bills and create clear, accurate summaries of treatment and expenses.
- Identify missing records, gaps in treatment, discrepancies, and other information requiring follow-up.
- Draft correspondence and prepare requests for medical and billing records.
- Maintain organized case files, record indexes, and related case materials.
- Communicate with attorneys and other members of the litigation team regarding the status of assignments, outstanding information, and significant findings.
- Depending on case needs, assist with discovery, expert-witness coordination, deposition and trial preparation, medical research, and other substantive litigation projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior law-firm experience is required.
- Experience reviewing or working with medical records is strongly preferred. Relevant experience may have been gained in a law firm, healthcare setting, insurance organization, or another position involving the review and analysis of medical information.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand, organize, and synthesize detailed information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a litigation team.
- A paralegal certificate, degree, or other formal paralegal credential is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, hourly position based in our downtown Honolulu office. Regular on-site attendance is required. The position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable law.
Compensation: $65,000–$80,000 annualized, based on the position’s regular work schedule, plus overtime when applicable. Actual starting compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
