Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000
Location: Peterborough
Job type: Full time permanent contract
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver top-tier legal services to a diverse range of clients. You will have the chance to develop your expertise while supporting key tasks such as drafting legal documentation, conducting legal research, and managing client files. The role will offer a broad range of responsibilities, ensuring you gain valuable experience across various aspects of litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, and financial statements
Conducting legal research and assisting with case preparation
Communicating with clients, colleagues, and external parties via telephone and email
Assisting with the management of client files, ensuring they are organised and up to date
Supporting the team with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and document management
Utilising case management systems to store and manage documents electronically
Supporting client meetings and assisting with the coordination of appointments
Transcribing digital dictation as required
Providing general support to the wider team as needed
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a legal environment, with a basic understanding of litigation processes
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
Discretion and respect for confidentiality at all times
Positive attitude with a focus on collaboration and relationship building
Proficient in using case management systems and standard office software
