Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal in Oklahoma City for an Am Law 200 full-service law firm. The ideal candidate will have prior trial experience and a minimum of five years’ of experience as a Litigation Paralegal. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and fully on-site.
Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr
Primary Responsibilities:
Compile, prepare, and summarize relevant materials for discovery
Assist with court filings, including cite and fact-checking legal briefs, cross-referencing, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling exhibits and appendices
Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines
Track and control document discovery, including documents produced and received
Index, track, and control exhibits and other materials at depositions and trials
Coordinate trial set-up and logistics, liaising with internal departments and outside vendors
Summarize depositions and other transcripts
Work closely with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation
Support attorneys during trial, including creating demonstratives and providing courtroom presentation/support
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree preferred
Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate with a minimum of five years of comparable work experience required
Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Working knowledge of office accounting methods and techniques, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn other programs
Proven ability to conduct independent research
Prepare and understand financial accounts and other financial and statistical reports
Ability to understand tax forms, including federal tax returns and schedules
