Boutique Tax Law Firm looking for qualified paralegal to assist in Federal Tax Controversy Practice helping individuals and businesses with federal tax issues. The paralegal will assist in handling a large docket of cases in search of solutions for a client's particular federal tax issues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. Federal Court experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have a high level of integrity, a heart to serve and to help clients, have the ability to persevere despite adversity and likely obstacles.
Responsibilities
- Legal fact and basic legal research
- Assist with case management
- Organize and electronically file pleadings
- Coordinate and schedule calendars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 4+ years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Ability to work with clients in gathering information.
