As of January 27th, a prestigious law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to work closely with attorneys and other staff members. The Bankruptcy Paralegal will be responsible for:
Overseeing all elements of bankruptcy case management, including physical and electronic files, case calendaring, and tracking bankruptcy-related deadlines.
Assisting attorneys with document preparation and review, coordination with clients, research, investigations, fact-checking, and hearing preparation.
Drafting legal documents (including routine retention and fee applications) and filing motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
Assisting attorneys with trial preparation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of filing through the CM/ECF filing system in all bankruptcy courts and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with bankruptcy law and principles, court pleadings, and other related matters is needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
