Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. This individual will provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation—from initial case development and discovery through trial preparation and resolution.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal who wants to take ownership of their work and grow alongside an expanding law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation files from case opening through resolution
  • Draft, review, proofread, and organize pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case-law analysis
  • Coordinate written discovery, document production, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Maintain calendars and monitor court deadlines, filing requirements, and case milestones
  • Organize medical records, evidence, exhibits, transcripts, and other case materials
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness materials, and attorney support documents
  • File documents accurately and timely through applicable state and federal e-filing systems
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, vendors, and other parties
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files
  • Provide attorneys with timely case updates and proactively identify outstanding deadlines or needs
  • Protect confidential and privileged information at all times
  • Support Firm initiatives and evolving workflows as the practice continues to expand

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of paralegal experience, preferably in a civil litigation law firm
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, court rules, and case preparation
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and proofreading pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Proficiency with court e-filing systems, legal research tools, case-management software, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and deadline-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to remain composed and effective while managing multiple time-sensitive matters
  • Associate degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Paralegal certification through NALA, NFPA, or another recognized organization is a plus
