Litigation Paralegal – Hybrid Work Schedule
Our New York-based law firm client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex real estate litigation matters throughout New York State. This role is integral to the litigation process, providing end-to-end support across all phases of a case, from inception through trial. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of New York court procedures and experience in real estate disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, commercial lease disputes, foreclosure actions, and property ownership issues.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of case organization, including maintaining files and tracking critical deadlines.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform cite checking and verify legal authorities in accordance with Bluebook standards using tools such as Westlaw.
- Prepare, file, and electronically file documents via NYSCEF in New York Supreme Court, NYC Civil Court, and Federal Court.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and individual judge-specific rules and procedures.
- Assist attorneys in deposition, hearing, arbitration, and trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders.
- Maintain and manage litigation calendars, including court appearances, discovery schedules, and motion deadlines.
- Conduct factual research, prepare case chronologies, and summarize deposition transcripts and discovery materials.
- Prepare and serve restraining notices related to the enforcement and collection of judgments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification a plus.
- 3+ years of litigation experience in New York.
- Strong knowledge of New York law, including CPLR and NYSCEF filing protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research/document management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule during periods of increased workload.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence in New York City during the workweek, with flexibility for remote work as business needs permit.
