Clawson and Staubes is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Daniel Island, SC location. The ideal candidate will have over four years of paralegal experience, be highly motivated and well organized, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting attorneys throughout the legal process of a lawsuit
Drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
Answering discovery requests and scheduling depositions
Managing case files and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel
Updating case and client information databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all records
Calculating and tracking deadlines, and communicating progress, status, and issues to attorneys
Filing pleadings in both State and Federal Court
Handling various administrative and legal tasks to ensure smooth case progression
Qualifications:
Familiarity with State Courts, Federal U.S. District Court, and a strong understanding of the insurance claims process
Knowledge of litigation software programs such as Trial Works, Pro Law, and Tabs
Critical thinking and sound judgment with the ability to analyze and resolve problems
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Experience:
4+ years of litigation paralegal experience
