Position: LITIGATION PARALEGAL

Job Description

Immediate opening: Downtown law firm seeking experienced (5 years) litigationParalegal in a paperless environment. The Paralegal must handle complex cases and includes electronic and court filings, tracking relevant deadlines and time/billing (STI/TABS program).

Job description/requirements:

Specific case load assigned with the following responsibilities:

Work with assigned attorney with specific requests

Draft and answer discovery

Summarize medicals, discovery, and other records (upon authority)

Preparing various pleadings, motions, and other required documents

Determine any records to be requested

Prepare charts of medical and other documents requested to track receipt and dissemination to counsel

Review, determine and compile computer materials for depositions, mediations, trials, and hearings

Prepare briefs and writs for filing including identifying exhibits and attachments

Document management/overview for mail, correspondence, and pleadings

Prepare computer presentations, PowerPoint, etc.

Interview insureds

Prepare inserts to status reports

Review authority requested/granted for upcoming tasks

Must be proficient with MS OFFICE (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe, and overall computer knowledge.
