Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal/ Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration law and be able to assist attorneys in preparing and filing documents for the Immigration Judge and USCIS. This role requires excellent organizational/writing/computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Admission to the NYS bar is a plus. Resume and immigration-related writing sample required
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of Court-based motions to reopen, waivers, AOS, SIJ/COR cases. family-based petitions, naturalization/employment-based applications.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Proofread all documentation for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the law office.
Experience
2 years experience with immigration law
Strong skills in legal research, writing, and proofreading are essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for client interaction and collaboration with attorneys.
