CBIZ has been retained by a mid sized law firm to assist in their search for a hybrid litigation paralegal / litigation assistant for their Newport Beach office. This is a great opportunity to get in with a fantastic law firm. This is a fully in-office position.
Duties:
Calendaring and monitoring service deadlines
Filing in state and federal courts
Preparing and responding to discovery
Preparation of judicial counsel forms
Organizing trial binders
Answering phone calls/tracking voicemails
Tracking office expenses in Excel
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years or more of litigation paralegal experience
Proficiency with state and federal court filing
Thorough working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure
Strong understanding of legal calendaring
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2016 or later
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with research experience
Must be a team player
Ability to quickly learn new software programs
Must be extremely detail oriented
Salary:
$85,000-$110,000, DOE

Must be local to south Orange County
