Description:
The Compliance and Contract Specialist assists the Manager of Compliance with executing all aspects of the compliance and risk management program. This is a high visibility role that interacts with all areas within the company as well as with external partners. This role focuses on ensuring the organization’s adherence to relevant regulations and internal standards. The candidate should be detail oriented and perform duties with the highest level of confidentiality.
Role and Responsibilities
Assists the Manager of Compliance with executing all aspects of the Compliance and Risk Management Plan and fostering a strong culture of compliance.
Facilitates licensing requirements; Coordinates with appropriate departments on initial and renewal applications and ensures annual reporting requirements are met.
Assists with monitoring and tracking of federal and state laws; coordinates with legal and departments as appropriate to ensure policies and procedures are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Assists in the development and management of Vendor compliance and oversight.
Leads the Policy and Procedure Workgroup, assisting departments in the development of effective policies and procedures and guiding them through effective communication, training, monitoring, and reporting.
Works with HR and Manager of Compliance in managing mandatory new hire & annual compliance training utilizing various training methods and/or platforms.
Participate in Compliance Committee meetings as needed.
Ensuring contracts are accurately recorded, stored, and easily accessible.
Works with Legal to address contract related issues and disputes.
Serves as a point of contact for contract-related matters.
Assist Sales/AM teams with contract execution.
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2-4 years of equivalent professional experience
Knowledge and experience in healthcare compliance, audit programs, HIPAA, HITECH regulatory requirements.
Possesses project management skills.
Detail oriented.
Exceptional skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Occasional travel Required.
PREFERENCES
Understanding of health care systems and/or PBM operations including HIPAA and familiarity with PBM licensing and regulatory requirements

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required. Regularly operates in an office or home office setting which involves utilizing a computer, mouse, keyboard, and occasionally operates other standard office equipment, such as printer, copier, phone. Travel may be required by either car or airplane, or a combination of multiple modes of transportation
