Responsibilities

Draft, revise, and carefully review various legal documents, including correspondence, contracts, and court filings.

Collaborate with attorneys to ensure steady case progression by providing regular updates and flagging urgent matters promptly.

Support attorneys during the discovery process by preparing discovery documents, coordinating depositions, and issuing subpoenas.

Conduct document reviews and evaluations using multiple electronic platforms.

Organize and maintain digital case files within a document management system (such as iManage) for easy access and reference.

Assist in trial preparation, including assembling trial binders, arranging witness logistics, handling subpoenas, organizing exhibits, and participating in courtroom proceedings.

Collect and interpret medical records to develop detailed medical chronologies and special damages summaries.

Qualifications

Detail-oriented, proactive, personable, and self-driven

Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and new opportunities

Exercises sound judgment and takes initiative to resolve issues independently

Produces polished, accurate work and takes full responsibility for outcomes

Open to adopting new technologies and workflows

Willing and able to travel across the country for trial support

Knowledgeable about client billing protocols with the ability to log accurate and timely billing entries

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or a combination of relevant education and experience

Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting (defense litigation experience is a plus)
