The Mint Law Firm is a new law firm with a new approach and we are currently seeking attorney(s) with at least 5 years’ experience exclusive to family law to assist with document drafting and case management in a 100% remote capacity.
How is our approach different?
You set the max number of hours per week that you can devote to the firm;
You will not be prohibited from other employment so long as no conflict or solicitation exists;
You will work on your own time schedule; and
You can work 100% from the comfort of your own home.
Duties will include:
Case Management: We need someone to manage a small caseload of 3-10 (or more if you wish) family law cases. The cases cannot sit stagnant; they MUST move forward!
Document Drafting: Motions practice and preparation of and review of FL family law pleadings and forms;
Hearings: attend virtual hearings or if not, coordinate with the partners to attend on your behalf.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
Admission to the Florida state bar;
Minimum 5 years’ experience in family law;
Clean disciplinary record;
Strong knowledge of tax law;
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
Some availability during normal business hours (M-F 9-5) for virtual client meetings;
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams;
Experience with Interactive Legal a plus.
Pay:
Pay is per diem and will range anywhere from $75 per hour to $100 per hour, dependent upon experience, credentials, and hours per week/month available;
Malpractice insurance is paid for by the firm;
Eligible for productivity-based bonuses once certain hours are met;
Eligible for technology reimbursement once certain hours are met; and
Eligible for CLE reimbursement once certain hours are met.

Who Is This Job Best Suited For?
A retired or semi-retired attorney, stay at home mom/dad, or an attorney that is currently winding down their practice or otherwise seeing a limited number of clients;
An individual that is interested in truly part time and controllable work-flow;
An individual that will not have to immediately rely on income generated from this job, as we will be slowly ramping you up over a period of 3 or so months;
A fun person who loves to collaborate, socialize, and interact with clients;
An attorney who has called family law their primary practice area for at least 5 years.
Who is Not Suited For This Job?
Any attorney with a super heavy caseload or other large commitments that already take the majority of their time;
Any attorney that absolutely needs full-time work immediately, as it will take some time to ramp up business;
Any individual that has zero or highly limited availability during regular business hours, as some work can be done off hours, but our paralegals will need instruction during regular business hours;
Any individual that has only dabbled in family law.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75.00 – $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
