Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various areas of law including employment, matrimonial, and general arbitration. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in document management systems, and familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Duties
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents and correspondence.
Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support ongoing cases.
Manage and organize case files using document management systems.
Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
Assist in the litigation process by preparing trial materials and exhibits.
Support project management tasks related to case timelines and deadlines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the office.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm.
Familiarity with various areas of law, including matrimonial and / or employment is required.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and experience with document management systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $29.51 – $34.50 per hour
