A top mid-size law in New York City is a seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 5 or more years experience in the litigation practice area
Must have Cite-Checking skills
Must have applicable knowledge of the principles of judicial and administrative processes and filing requirements and experience working with methods of legal research, court rules and procedures, litigation terminology and documentation, docketing procedures, and discovery process.
Proficient in the use of Relativity databases is A PLUS, including but not limited to searching, coding, and exporting documents.
Proficient with working knowledge of Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, and other Internet databases.
Proficient with working in iManage, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Exhibit a high degree of initiative with excellent analytical, technical, and critical-thinking skills requiring an aptitude for detail, precision, and logic to analyze and research litigation-related data, process information, conduct legal research and perform essential duties.
Excellent organizational skills, including record-keeping, data collection and system information.
Ability to compile and analyze data and furnish concise, detailed information in report format, written correspondence, email or verbally.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with courtesy and diplomacy, efficiently follow written and verbal instructions, provide information, and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of attorneys, paralegals, clients, staff, and outside contacts.
Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
Must be willing to work overtime (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
