Title: Litigation Paralegal
Company: Tenor Legal
Location: United States
About Tenor Legal: Tenor is the premier legal services firm known for innovation and excellence across one of the broadest and most dynamic networks of talent in the legal industry. We work with Fortune 500 companies and top-tier law firms, offering exceptional legal professionals on both flexible secondment and permanent placements.
The Opportunity
Tenor Legal is partnering with a globally recognized technology and entertainment company to place an experienced Litigation Paralegal on a full-time secondment basis, supporting the legal team of its industry-leading gaming and interactive entertainment division.
This role sits within the Litigation & Regulatory Response team and supports a broad portfolio of litigation, subpoenas, law enforcement requests, government inquiries, regulatory matters, and eDiscovery projects impacting a global consumer business. You'll work closely with attorneys, legal operations professionals, outside counsel, and cross-functional partners — reporting into one of the team's most tenured litigation directors.
This is a hands-on role on a lean, collaborative team. Matter management is currently handled manually — the right candidate is efficient and organized without relying on plug-and-play tools, and can help build scalable processes along the way.
The engagement begins immediately and runs until the role is permanently filled, with potential for conversion for the right candidate.
Key Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing until permanently filled; potential for permanent conversion
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Location: Fully remote — candidates must be based in Pacific or Mountain time zones.
- Schedule note: Must be comfortable with occasional early morning and late evening calls with global team members in Asia and UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Litigation Support & Docket Management (40%): Support attorneys across litigation, IP disputes, regulatory matters, and government inquiries; manage the litigation docket, track case dates and filings, and ensure materials are prepared and deadlines met; coordinate matter intake, tracking, reporting, and document management across a diverse caseload.
- Legal Process & Regulatory Response (25%): Manage legal process intake and workflows — subpoenas, court orders, warrants, preservation requests, and other demands from law enforcement and government authorities — from receipt through response; draft routine legal correspondence, notices, and matter documentation under attorney supervision.
- eDiscovery & Document Management (20%): Partner with attorneys, business teams, outside counsel, and vendors on document preservation, legal holds, collections, review, productions, and other discovery activities.
- Legal Operations & Process Improvement (15%): Maintain litigation and regulatory response records, metrics, and reporting; support outside counsel engagement, invoice review, and budget tracking; help develop policies, procedures, playbooks, and training that make the function more efficient and scalable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or equivalent program
- 3+ years supporting litigation, regulatory matters, eDiscovery, dispute resolution, or legal operations — in-house or at a law firm
- Familiarity with civil litigation processes, discovery obligations, document preservation requirements, and legal process response workflows
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn legal technology platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and sound judgment handling sensitive, confidential information
- Highly proactive, organized, and responsive — thrives in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Supporting civil litigation and IP litigation in an in-house legal department or law firm
- Handling subpoenas, law enforcement requests, government inquiries, or regulatory matters
- Supporting a technology, gaming, entertainment, or consumer-facing company
- Hands-on eDiscovery workflows: legal holds, document review, productions, outside counsel coordination
