Job Overview – Litigation Paralegal:
Join our client as a Litigation Paralegal in Philadelphia, PA, where you will play a key role in supporting attorneys with case management, legal research, and trial preparation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience in civil, commercial, employment, and intellectual property law. You’ll handle court filings, organize case materials, and assist in all phases of litigation while working in a dynamic legal environment.
Compensation: $65,000 – $100,000/year
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Litigation Paralegal:
Court Filings & Case Management: Prepare and file legal documents across PA, NJ, and NY courts, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Legal Research & Document Prep: Conduct research, draft motions, discovery requests, and deficiency letters.
Case Organization & Trial Support: Manage exhibits, briefs, and trial logistics, ensuring seamless preparation.
Client & Expert Coordination: Communicate with clients and experts, gather case materials, and prepare review documents.
Calendar & Deadline Management: Track litigation deadlines, maintain case schedules, and coordinate with attorneys.
Discovery & Investigations: Summarize productions, perform background checks, and analyze litigation history.
Qualifications for the Litigation Paralegal:
Certification: ABA-approved paralegal certificate or other relevant certification preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of recent experience in civil litigation, with exposure to commercial, employment, and intellectual property cases.
Court Filing Expertise: Strong knowledge of filing procedures in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York state and federal courts.
Industry Knowledge: Expertise in litigation procedures, discovery, evidence handling, and trial support, including exhibit preparation and logistics coordination.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe, and e-discovery platforms.
Skills & Attributes: Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills to manage cases, track deadlines, and present information clearly to attorneys and clients.
Flexibility & Availability: Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
