Litigation Paralegal – Liability and Excess Coverage practice
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Hybrid: 2 days per week in office (35-hour workweek)
Base Salary: $90,000–$105,000, plus bonus
A top-ranked international law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Liability and Excess Coverage practice. This position supports a highly regarded defense-side litigation team handling complex commercial and insurance coverage disputes, including class actions, bad-faith claims, mass torts, professional liability matters, and other high-exposure litigation.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with heavy discovery, document review, organization, and production
- Conduct legal research and monitor state and federal court dockets
- Draft, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets tracking case activity, status, and deadlines
- Review incoming matters and assist with opening and organizing new files
- Communicate directly with clients regarding claims, potential claims, and case status
- Assist with finalizing and distributing coverage letters
- Forecast potential upcoming claims and litigation activity
- Provide additional support throughout all stages of complex litigation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Significant hands-on litigation and discovery experience
- Insurance defense, commercial litigation, or insurance coverage experience is strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience navigating state and federal court websites
- Excellent written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with iManage, Nextpoint, or FileDrive is helpful but not required
