Law Offices of Eric A. Shore is seeking a licensed attorney with significant experience in both Veterans Disability and Social Security Disability law to lead and grow our national disability department.

This role is for a legal professional who shares that mission — and who’s ready to take full ownership of a growing department that already handles 300 VA disability claims and 600 SSD cases.
You’ll supervise a remote team of 6–10 legal assistants and case managers, with responsibility for hiring, training, performance management, legal oversight, and process improvement. This is a leadership position, and you’ll work directly with senior management and other department heads to ensure client satisfaction, legal excellence, and operational success.
What You’ll Do
Run the day-to-day legal and operational functions of our VA and SSD department
Supervise and develop a remote team of legal assistants and case managers
Manage legal workflows, hearing prep, documentation, and deadline tracking
Oversee case selection and strategic prioritization across VA and SSD matters
Respond to escalated client concerns and resolve delays or claim issues
Ensure compliance with all VA/SSA deadlines, rules, and ethical standards
Hire, train, and hold team members accountable as the department grows
Work with intake, operations, and leadership to drive performance and results
Foster a culture of excellence focused on client service and legal quality
What You Bring
Active law license in good standing in at least one U.S. state
Minimum 3 years of experience in both VA and SSD disability law (required)
Strong working knowledge of VA and SSA claims, appeals, and hearing procedures
Experience managing legal staff or overseeing departmental workflow
Clear communicator with a problem-solving mindset and high ethical standards
Confident using legal tech and remote systems (Litify/Salesforce a plus)
Note: This role does not involve litigation before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).
Preferred
VA Accreditation with fingerprint clearance and system access
Willingness to supervise both SSD and VA claims
Familiarity with SSA and VA electronic case systems
