About the Role
LHH is working with a well-regarded plaintiff-side litigation firm to identify a seasoned Civil Litigation Paralegal. This is a dynamic opportunity for a legal professional who is eager to contribute meaningfully to impactful litigation. Our client tackles complex litigation cases with professionalism and drive!
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Conducting factual and legal research using platforms like Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, and public records databases.
- Managing case files—both electronic and physical—using legal practice management software.
- Maintaining litigation calendars and ensuring all court deadlines and filing requirements are met.
- Summarizing medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses to support case strategy.
- Assisting with trial preparation, including witness coordination, exhibit organization, and courtroom logistics.
- E-filing documents with state and federal courts with precision and timeliness.
- Supporting client intake and communication with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in plaintiff-side civil litigation.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Strong understanding of California court procedures, local rules, and e-filing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Benefits and Compensation
- Salary: $80,000 to $95,000 annually
