Salary: $64,000-$72,000/YR (depending on experience)
Overview: LHH Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Assistant to join their team in the Tampa office. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance defense, with medical malpractice defense experience being a major plus. This position requires a lot of scheduling, teamwork, and a great attitude. The role involves working for two associates on a large overall team and is fully in-office with no remote schedule.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence and legal documents/pleadings.
File pleadings through state and federal ePortals.
Manage attorney schedules and update calendars with case-related deadlines and upcoming events.
Interact with clients and maintain client files.
Enter information into the firms practice management program.
Requirements:
Insurance defense experience is required; medical malpractice defense experience is a major plus.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product to both attorneys and clients.
Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
