Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in managing various legal tasks and ensuring smooth operations within the legal department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage electronic filing for both State and Federal courts in Carolina.
Handle civil and arbitration procedures and filings.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, teleconferences, and travel arrangements for attorneys.
Communicate with external law firms to arrange depositions and other necessary meetings.
Review and finalize legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
Prepare routine shell macros and assist in drafting legal documents.
Open and close legal files as required.
Manage general correspondence between external law firms, clients, and insurance carriers.
Organize and manage heavy document workflows.
Track and record deadlines using docketing and calendar systems.
Provide support to multiple attorneys.
Assist in trial preparation.

Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
Proficiency in e-filing systems and eDockets is essential.
High level of computer competency, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and iManage document file system.
Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
