RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Attorney Director include but are not limited to:
· Oversee Case Intake Process: Supervise intake staff and enforce systems to handle new client inquiries, including triaging cases, ensuring prompt response time and excellent customer service, screening for viable cases, and speaking directly to clients.
· Evaluate New Cases: Using experience, legal knowledge and thoughtful analysis, classify cases into different categories depending upon viability, value and risk.
· Manage Cases to Resolution: Oversee paralegal and legal assistant staff to manage cases from opening to resolution, including case workup and settlement negotiations.
· Build and Lead Team: Continue building and leading the team to handle increased volume of new client intakes, case evaluations, case workup and resolutions.
· Systems, and KPI Development and Accountability: Develop and enforce management systems, measure results using KPIs and report results to firm leadership.
** This is a full-time, in-person position based in Auburn, Maine with occasional local travel. **
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· 3+ years as a practicing attorney
· Experience managing or supervising others
· Experience negotiating
· Tech savvy
Preferred
· Experience handling personal injury or other consumer law cases
· Experience reading and interpreting medical records
· Experience with Microsoft Suite

Salary: Base salary commensurate with experience, with opportunity for substantial upside from participation in fee revenue generated by cases within departmental jurisdiction.
