Responsibilities:
– Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
– Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
– Organize and maintain case files and documents
– Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and schedule appointments
– Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks
– Draft correspondence and communicate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients
– Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with the court
– Maintain confidentiality of client information
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred
– Previous experience working as a litigation paralegal is required
– Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
– Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to draft legal documents and correspondence accurately
– Highly organized with strong attention to detail
– Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
– Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
