The Firm

A well-established UK law firm with more than 150 years of history is seeking a Paralegal to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in London. The firm operates from multiple offices across England and provides a full range of legal services to clients across the UK and internationally.

The firm advises across a wide range of practice areas including Commercial/Corporate, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Construction, Housing, Employment, Projects and Property. In recent years the firm has demonstrated strong and consistent growth.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paralegal to join a busy and successful Litigation & Dispute Resolution department based in London.

The role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience supporting senior fee earners while assisting with a varied litigation caseload across a range of disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior fee earners across the litigation team
  • Corresponding with clients, opposing parties and third parties to progress matters
  • Drafting and submitting pleadings and statements of case for the County Court and High Court
  • Managing multiple deadlines across a variety of matters
  • Organising and maintaining accurate case files
  • Liaising with courts ahead of hearings and trials
  • Preparing court bundles and cost budgets

Candidate Requirements

  • Undergraduate law degree or GDL
  • Minimum 2 years’ paralegal experience, ideally within litigation
  • Strong drafting and proofreading skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities, including diary management
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong client service approach
  • Self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
