Overview
LBR RAS is seeking a Paralegal for a full-time Legal Invoice Auditor position with a flexible schedule. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and auditing defense counsel invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance with billing standards, and adherence to client guidelines as part of our growing team.
Candidates must have a paralegal/Legal Assistant background with experience in workers’ compensation or liability defense. Prior legal bill review experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
This position also offers long term growth opportunities, including the potential to transition into a full time role.
Responsibilities
- Review and audit legal invoices submitted by defense counsel
- Analyze billing entries for compliance with client billing guidelines
- Identify billing discrepancies, excessive charges, duplicate entries, or non compliant billing practices
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and law firms regarding billing questions or revisions
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within internal systems
- Prioritize and manage multiple invoices and deadlines efficiently
- Assist with client account support and administrative tasks as needed
- Develop familiarity with insurance industry standards and litigation billing practices
Qualifications
- Paralegal background
- Experience in workers’ compensation or liability defense
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, task descriptions and time entries
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to work independently and meet production expectations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
